What Are You Waiting For?

Your life is right now! It’s not later! It’s not in that time of retirement. It’s not when the lover gets here. It’s not when you’ve moved into the new house. It’s not when you get the better job. Your life is right now. It will always be right now. You might as well decide to start enjoying your life right now, because it’s not ever going to get better than right now—until it gets better right now!

That quote is an excerpted from Abraham Hicks, Silver Spring, MD on 5/11/02. I read it this morning at 11:11. And I don't know if you believe in signs, but I DO!


After reading, and then re-reading that quote, I realized that I've been waiting to move forward in my life and health, for the right time. I've resisted change that I KNOW I need to make.


But enough is enough. What am I waiting for? The time is now. I'm done waiting and procrastinating. Here's what I'm going to do:

  • Stop drinking alcohol - I realized I am emotionally weakened when I drink, and during this time I need as much strength as I can get.

  • Eat clean & take my supplements - make daily small hinge changes to my diet

  • Drink more water - at least 1/2 my body weight in oz per day

  • Practice Mindfulness DAILY - meditation, yoga, walking, hiking, journaling, etc.

  • Fill up my tank - doing things I love: cooking, music, time with family & friends, dancing, reading, massage, golf, tennis, etc.

  • Exercise 3 - 5x per week - yoga, walking, tennis, kick boxing, etc.

  • Sleep - get to bed earlier to wake up earlier, get at least 8 hours

  • Try something new - be brave, challenge myself, put myself out there in a new way

  • Ask for Community to hold me accountable - WHO WANTS TO JOIN ME?
